This is a friendly reminder that Primary Election Day is Tuesday, August 4. If you haven't already returned your ballot, please do so as soon as possible.

This year's primary election is one of the most significant in recent memory. The Washington State Supreme Court is expected to hear legal challenges to the state's new income tax law, making this election especially important. AGC's BUILD PAC has endorsed Scott Edwards and Dave Larson for the Washington State Supreme Court. Both candidates appear on the August 4 primary ballot.

There are also several highly competitive legislative races across the state that will help determine the direction of public policy in Washington. In some districts, including the 48th Legislative District, incumbents like Amy Walen are facing well-funded challengers, and the outcome of these races could influence the makeup of the Legislature for years to come.

In addition, Tacoma voters will decide on a transportation levy to improve street maintenance and transportation safety. AGC's BUILD PAC has endorsed this local measure because of its importance to transportation infrastructure.
