AGCW and allies urge Gov. Inslee to postpone rulemaking AGC of Washington and 54 other business groups, led by the Association of Washington Business, have called on Governor Inslee to postpone all non-critical rulemaking at state agencies during the coronavirus crisis. “Despite the ongoing health crisis, state agency rulemaking has been proceeding on previously established timelines,” the business groups told the Governor. “However, the hardship caused by the crisis and the economic toll

WSDOT seeks input on I-5 bridge DBE goals (From WSDOT) The Washington State Department of Transportation has created the overall Disadvantaged-Business Enterprise project goal for the I-5 Bridge Replacement Program, General Engineering
Consulting Agreement. This project has a proposed overall DBE goal of 15 percent of the total contract payment amount. WSDOT wants to hear from you about what types of information and any other consideration they should make as they establish this joint state-project DBE goal. Updates to filing certified payroll coming soon (From the Dept. of Labor and Industries) L&I is making some updates to increase validation plus speed up the filing process when filing/uploading certified payroll reports. A number of updates will go live on the evening of May 28. SSN validation: We’ve included additional constraints and validation on the SSN to meet the law as outlined in RCW 39.12.120, which requires the full 9-digit social security number of the employee. in the following format will not be accepted as per the Social Security Administration: Starting with “9”, “666”, “000” or have “00” in positions 4-5 or have “0000” in positions 6-9. Read more...
