2022 AGC-WSDOT Partnership award winners announced AGC of Washington and WSDOT announced the winners of the 2022 Partnership for Excellence in Contract Administration Awards during the AGC/WSDOT annual meeting on January 5. The
contractors and WSDOT project teams for the winning projects were presented awards by Chris Christopher, State Construction Engineer, and Phil Wallace, Senior Operations Manager for Kiewit Infrastructure Group. Christopher and Wallace co-chair the AGC/WSDOT Liaison Teams. The awards were established to recognize and encourage extraordinary achievements by the contractor/WSDOT partnership responsible for delivering transportation projects in a timely, professional and responsive manner while also considering the needs of others who are affected by the project... HR Roundtable, Jan. 24 Join AGC’s HR Roundtable -- in-person or via ZOOM -- next week as we discuss the potential impacts of economic decline on managing and supporting employees. Amy Robinson of Miller Nash and Stephanie Berntsen of Schwabe, Williamson & Wyatt will touch on legal dos and don’ts for layoffs, including manager training, objective non-discriminatory criteria and other topics that all organizations should be thinking about. We will also focus on
reinforcement of support resources like mental-health services offered by employers, unions and the community. This session will also include an update on new EPOA salary disclosure requirements. Active, engaged members are by far the most effective weapon used by our lobbying team. You can bolster AGCW’s clout by participating in any or all the following ways: Legislative Huddle Participate in our member-only weekly virtual Legislative Huddle meetings where your Government Affairs team will provide a concise and insightful update on what’s happening in Olympia, gather feedback on legislative proposals that affect construction, and ask for direction on positions as needed. The

The AGC Education Foundation continues to offer virtual continuing-education classes in a live, interactive, remote environment. We
are working closely with instructors to maintain high-quality training programs and are finding great success in the virtual environment.
